The right thing to do

President Obama wants to take the charitable deduction away from the upper one percent of income earners on their tax returns. he says its  "the right thing to do" . He says it's fairer to lower income people that make charitable contributions but get a smaller deduction.

Well, who do all major colleges get HUGE donations from to build new buildings? Start new endowments? Research projects?

Same goes to high schools, elementary schools, hospitals, medical research foundations, religious orders, fraternal organizations, youth sports leagues?

How about MPR, NPR, PBS, TPT, heck even Planned Parenthood?

You got it folks, rich people give lots and lots of money to all these organizations, and they expect the tax benefits!

Look for the Obama Administration to make some sort of "compromise" that will allow politically correct causes to get this money while certain groups will be left on in the cold.

I can see both sides on the coin. I know a lot of richer people make some really good donations but they are the ones with all the money. How are you going to tax the lower class that doesn't have a lot of extra money to spend on anything. It's a really hard choice to make, I just hope he make the right one.
