State budget solutions shouldn't pick winners and losers.......

State Representative Bobby Joe Champion D- Minneapolis says the State doesn't have a spending problem or a revenue problem, but a "lack of jobs" problem. http://www.spokesman-recorder.com/news/Article/Article.asp?NewsID=94351&sID=13&ItemSource=L

To do it right, we need to understand how we got in this
                         mess in the first place.

Oh, really?

How about starting with the budget surplus you gobbled up last time? Then, while you were still wiping your chin, you gorged yourself on a big gas tax for desert.

The governor likes to compare balancing the state budget
to a family sitting at the kitchen table figuring out their bills.

No, the state can now get federal bailout money. Money supplied by borrowing the money from China or just printing it.

Look at TCF, they are sending part of their operations to South Dakota. When is the last time 3M built something new in Minnesota? Ever think your laws are sending the people that create jobs away?

I love the title of this piece, "State budget solutions shouldn't pick winners and losers"!

Isn't that what the porkulous bill is all about?
